Democratic City
At Think City, we want to expand the role of citizens in civic life.
Through this section of our web site, you can email your elected councillors and parks board commissioners, read-up on the history of Vancouver's democratic development over the past decade or take part in one of our projects.
Citizen Budget
Each year, Think City surveys citizens on their civic priorites in the lead up to the development of the City of Vancouver's annual operating budget and presents these findings to city council. Since 2006, over 5,000 Vancouver city residents and business owners have participated in the Citizen Budget project.
Local Election Reform
In October 2009, Premier Gordon Campbell announced a new local government election task force to consider sweeping legislative changes to how municipal elections are conducted in this province. Think City is mounting a campaign to make BC's civic elections more fair and accessible.
