What is Your Dream for Your City?

Dream VancouverCanadian cities face a variety of challenges and Think City believes citizens have a role to play in shaping solutions that will make our cities more liveable, equitable, sustainable and economically vibrant.

Dream Vancouver

As part of Dream City, Think City started a pilot public policy development process in 2007 called Dream Vancouver as a way to reinvigorate the policy debate in BC's largest city.

Dream Vancouver brought thousands of citizens together in-person and online to discuss their policy priorities for the City of Vancouver. Now Dream Vancouver is focused on getting 15 affordable housing, transportation and citizen engagement solutions – as chosen and developed by citizens – implemented by city hall.

Share the Road

Today the main use of city streets is for private vehicles, but this space is also shared with cyclists, pedestrians, taxis, commercial goods movement and public transit. Should the use of streets be changed to give more space for walking, socialising, bike riding, transit or other purposes?

Share the Road is a new citizen-led Think City pilot project that aims to improve the use and sharing of road space in Vancouver's Grandview Woodland area.

Think City Tours

Think City Tours is about providing a fun and informative way for residents to engage with the many rich stories of the people, nature, history, and culture of our communities. These tours bring to life the stories that are literally at our footsteps.

Think City Tours can range from an educational lecture to experiential fun – it all depends on you. Anyone can apply to be a tour guide. All it takes is a story, an area plan and time, rain or shine. We handle all the publicity, logistics and registration.
